Creative Marketing & Business Consultant
Hello and welcome to the graphic design section of my online portfolio.
I’m a qualified graphic designer and desktop publisher with many years of experience creating visuals for both print and digital. I’ve worked on everything from brochures, catalogues, and adverts to websites, social media content, brand logos, and graphics for video and animation.
Along the way, I’ve helped businesses save time and money by handling design work in-house. One of the biggest advantages of combining design with marketing and business development know-how is the ability to move quickly - there’s no waiting around for third parties when I can roll up my sleeves and get it done.
There’s a large back catalogue of work to choose from, but I’ve included a random selection below covering logo design, print, and digital content. Hope you enjoy having a look around.
Newtech Recycling Inc is a US company that provides computer & electronic waste recycling services (including hard drive data destruction). I designed this logo for their IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) division whilst I was in charge of their digital marketing.
In this example I’ve used my graphic design, desktop publishing & copyrighting skills to produce a 26-page full colour A5 brochure for a company called BIAS IT Ltd. You can click the link below to see the pre-press version.
Designing compelling PowerPoint graphics and slide content transforms presentations from dull to dynamic. Eye-catching visuals and well-structured content grab attention, clarify your message, and keep audiences engaged.
Designing a striking graphic for an article or product review grabs attention, boosts visual appeal, and increases clicks. A bold, relevant image draws readers in instantly and makes your content stand out in crowded feeds and search results.
Entwistle & Cappucci LLC (E&C) is a legal firm based in the USA that provides legal representation to clients globally in the most complex and challenging legal matters. I designed this logo to be bevel embossed and printed using both gold and silver foils.
A house folder is a branded presentation folder used to hold marketing materials. A well-designed folder boosts credibility, reinforces brand identity, and ensures your documents are organised, professional, and impactful in client meetings or pitches.
A bold, comic-style graphic full of colour and energy grabs attention, adds fun, and boosts engagement. It draws the eye, sparks curiosity, and makes content more clickable—essential for standing out in busy feeds and making your message memorable.
The ITAD ECO Plus program is an ITAD & computer recycling brand diversification that I created for exIT Technologies Inc. I designed this version to have a scratched metallic finish, much like an old scratched computer device awaiting to be recycled.
I originally designed this image for use in a media pack that I created for the purpose of selling advertising space on the DCS website. Designing the lightning to form around the nosecone and sparking off to the DCS logo was great fun.
A good graphic designer combines creativity and technical skill to craft visually compelling designs. Sometimes to translate ideas into impactful visuals that resonate with audiences and align with project goals you just need to go for something simple like this.
I designed this logo for an ecommerce software package that used an animated, page turning replication of a physical catalogue or brochure. This software was for all intents and purposes a virtual catalog (US spelling) hence the name VCAT for short.
There’s something about this design that just makes me feel like it works, maybe it’s the lighting or the symmetry. I spent hours in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator working on this, getting the lines sharp and the texture smooth.
Content-rich graphics like this effectively combine visuals and information to convey complex ideas clearly. They integrate striking imagery, concise text, and thoughtful design to enhance understanding.
I designed this emblem for an ecommerce website (that I also created) which provided a “eWaste recycling” service for residents of New Jersey & New York. The idea came to me when the business owner said “we will recycle anything with a plug”.
I created & designed an ITAD marketing initiative called Blue Earth. I want to encourage data centers and companies that use large numbers of computers to consider the environmental impacts of IT and to consider using a ITAD partner.
Aquila Aerospace equipped and modified a multitude of aircraft for multidomain military, medical and maritime use. I designed this motif to support their logo and marketing collateral. The design currently appears on the Aquila Aerospace website.
LionWing Ltd is a British limited company that holds a global range of intellectual property and copyright patents for books, Internet based technologies and content. I designed this logo for the marketing & design consultancy wing.
This graphic was designed to support the written content I was producing for a marketing plan. Obviously, I designed this for a section about the importance of keywords. I love the simplicity and effectiveness of the image.
YBC is a computer recycling ITAD company based in the USA. I designed this graphic as a header for their Facebook and LinkedIn pages. The graphic denotes an individual staring from an apocalyptic ewaste landfill scenario towards a brighter future.
Most Google Business Profiles just display images of products or interior and exterior shots of the building. To move away from the conventional, I designed a range of graphics for display in YBC’s Google profile. This design indicates a need for recycling.
The Responsible Recycling (R2) Standard provides a common set of processes, safety measures and documentation requirements for businesses that repair and recycle used electronics. I designed this graphic for a R2 certified business.
I designed this graphic to support written content about the damages caused by failing to recycle ewaste. Showing the change in depth of field, plus including a few old CRT monitors and desktop computers required a few tweaks in Photoshop.
I originally used this image for Newtech Recycling Inc. The photo shows a superhero style costume change, but rather than revealing a hero’s attire, we see a recycling logo. This suggests that recycling will save the world.
I designed this graphic for the YBC Google Business Profile. The design provides a summary of ITAD services. This graphic appears in both Google Maps and can also be seen in the Google knowledge panel listing for YBC.
This particular graphic was used to support written content about custom built surveillance aircraft. The blueprint design shows illustrations of specialised sensor equipment and the airframe. I designed this graphic in Adobe Illustrator.
A good branded graphic captures the essence of a brand with clarity and consistency. It communicates identity through cohesive design, striking visuals, and thoughtful typography, creating a memorable impression.
I created this graphic to highlight the Aquila Aerospace Special Mission Aircraft Centers ability to develop bespoke maritime surveillance aircraft. I used a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to design the image.
I have designed Adverts for hi-end fashion companies in the past, such as San Carlo, Menswear in Park Lane London. However, this design demonstrates a somewhat colourful statement more akin to René Magritte’s work.
I designed this graphic for display on the YBC LinkedIn business profile as a header image. The design is in keeping with the recycling theme seen in other graphics. As you can see, I’ve introduced more keyboards, monitors & PCs to the landfill.
I created this graphic for use in an article I wrote about decommissioning data centers. I love the old school engineering aspect of this design, it’s in such contrast to the ultra-modern technology of data center hardware.
I designed this image for an article I wrote about hard drive data destruction for an ITAD company. The design shows a green electromagnetic field surrounding, engulfing and wiping both SSD and HDD storage systems.
I designed this image for the ITAD service provided by exIT Technologies. The montage shows two men, one removing office computers and the other removing data center servers. This suggests we decommission all types of used IT.
As part of a digital marketing consultancy project, I designed a few alternative website prototypes. This particular design uses a combination of graphics and photographs that have been edited and pieced together to form a call to action.
This photograph looks simple enough, one might even say it’s a little mundane, though nothing could be further from reality. Getting the battle ship & the aircraft to fit the vertical & horizontal of the light source was more than challenging.
This design lists all the computer brands that YBC recycles. I love the imperfection of the layout. I could have just designed this as a solid background, but overlaying and opaquing the logos really creates a sense of movement & depth.
This graphic is a prototype for a website’s home page. The idea of the design is to highlight the super hi-tech types of aircraft that Aquila Aerospace provides. This image was one of five ideas that I designed for my employer.
This image was created to list my employers’ green credentials. I’ve added my Blue Earth logo, a R2 and an ISO certification. For data security I’ve included the HIPPA insignia. I designed the image to support written content on a webpage.
I had created a news and promotions area on my employers’ website, and added a promotional offer for free computer recycling. The offer graphic gave me an opportunity to use the scratched up metallic version of my logo.
The idea behind this design is to show a prospect or lead that we are a caring ITAD business. The design indicates that we care about protecting the environment and ensuring a data center isn’t prosecuted for breaching ewaste disposal laws.
IT asset disposition, or ITAD for short, is the practice of how and where to dispose of IT hardware ethically, legally and in an environmentally responsible manner. This design presents the different items and aspects of the ITAD services.
Aquila Aerospace offers a true multi-empowerment solution that combines the duality of maritime patrol with highly effective search and rescue. I created this design to summarise these aspects and illustrate the services their aircraft support.
I have selected this design not because of its creativeness but because of the unseen, subconscious unification of the branding. Or, put in simple English, the colours of the two trucks match the colours of the YBC logo – a surprisingly painstaking feat.
Take a look at the young lady holding the YBC logo, notice she is also subconsciously directing your attention to the IT Asset Disposition strapline. This was such a great photo to work with. The design is just a quick montage for use online.
Whenever designing these types of images, it’s always the smallest detail or graphic that tends to make everything balance out. In this case, it’s the pale, thin grid that overlays everything but the aircraft. The grid just projects the plane forward.
This design is used in a parallax sequence within the Aquila website. At a higher resolution the layering of images really catches the viewers attention. This artwork can be used for both web and printed work.
The combination of images, copy and photographs just says everything about data destruction in one single design. I created the graphic for use in the YBC Google Business Profile. Using ads like this spell out your services in seconds.
